Synopsis

The course Floral Obsession is an exploration in floral conditions as a matter of design in Architecture. Reaching from the topological manyfold figures of Floral conditions, to Surface Articulation (veining, rippling, frazzling, smooth etc.) to the coloration and various chromatic effects. It is not just about creating an understanding of the beautiful conditions that can be created by the use of floral forms, but about explorations rooted within contemporary scientific insights.
The manyfold expression of form can result in various spatial conditions that will be explored by the students for their potentials as a performative surface as well as for the Economy of Form.
